Granta Park has been awarded the 'Silver' Sustainable Travel Award 2016 by Travel for Cambridgeshire.

After careful deliberation, the Travel for Cambridgeshire selection panel felt Granta Park had demonstrated creativity and innovation, continued progress and future ambition in enabling, promoting and achieving modal shift away from single car occupancy to sustainable transport.

The Awards were presented at the Travel Plan Awards Ceremony at the Allia Future Business Centre in Peterborough on the 22 February 2017.

Eleanor Miller from the Granta Park Estates Office collected the award from David Sanders, the Mayor of Peterborough.

This was Travel for Cambridgeshire's 15th annual travel plan award event and there were six awards up for grabs: Travel Plan Award (Gold, Silver, Bronze) and Sustainable Travel Initiative (Gold, Silver, Bronze)

This year the theme of the event was ‘Connected to Work’ and featured keynote speakers including Gillian Beasley - Chief Executive at Peterborough and Cambridgeshire County Councils, Sustrans, and Atkins Global.
